People-Centered Integrative Care Collaborative Learning Exchange

Tuesday 03/13/18 – Thursday 03/15/18
Location: Accra, Ghana

In Ghana, the JLN People-Centered Integrative Care (PCIC) collaborative will work as a group to identify potential knowledge products based on the prioritized areas.

This work will include exploring country experience with the areas prioritized in the first meeting: empanelment and multidisciplinary teams. In addition, participants will collaborate to identify and prioritize potential knowledge products in one of these areas for the PCIC collaborative to help countries adopt more effective primary care. Participation is open to collaborative members only.

About the People-Centered Integrative Care Collaborative
People-Centered Integrated Care aims to improve the effectiveness of health service delivery—a key component of universal health coverage (UHC)—and to rebalance the care delivery system through strengthening the central role of primary health care (PHC) and promoting care integration and coordination across provider settings.

Given the importance of this new model, the collaborative’s ultimate goal is to increase the knowledge and resources available to countries on PCIC models and the steps and requirements for achieving them.
